Life in the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox

My family and I took a road trip  from Washington, DC to the Outer Banks, North Carolina in the Chevrolet Equinox. Three women and a baby. Boy, was it an adventure!

I wanted to make it a family affair, so I brought everyone along. The baby, my 2 year old niece was with us and during the 8 hour drive she did really well!

Of course, around hour 3 she started to go nuts but that’s where the beauty of the Equinox kicked in! We slapped in a Disney DVD and she was in a trance for the rest of the ride. You can pair the Equinox’s DVD player to the headphones so the entire car doesn’t have to listen to the DVD. We listened to music that grown-ups enjoy and she watched the same DVD 3 times without complaining. Thank goodness!

IMG_6043 After much traffic, we finally arrived at the Outer Banks and it was time to have fun! My family  and I are total beach bums and our idea of a perfect vacation is spending 100% of our time on the beach! We spent two days at the beautiful and quaint Nags Head Beach!

In addition to the Outer Banks Beaches we went to the Wright Brothers Memorial, where Orville and Wilbur Wright produced the first successful airplane flight.  I love exploring the history of a city!

IMG_6241Cruising around North Carolina was a breeze. I loved how easy the Equinox was to drive! The ride was so smooth you had to be careful because you could be going much faster than you thought you were going.

For a cross over vehicle, it was actually really cute and fit my beauty-blogger-girl-style.

Some of my favorite features were: Leather seats (that were heated! I used these all the time in the cold mornings), sun roof and sleek interior.

I like new cars in general, but one of the best advances in technology has to be the bluetooth capability. I never talk on the phone in the car so to be able to answer the phone and hear a voice come out of the car speakers is really cool.

To top it off, not only did the Equinox have bluetooth, it came with Pandora and XM Sirius radio. From Washington DC to North Carolina, the fully loaded Chevrolet Equinox kept me very happy!

IMG_6316If you’re thinking of purchasing this car the Chevrolet Equinox LTZ retails for:  $38,415.00. MPG: 20 city, 29 highway, 23 combined.

I definitely recommend this ride! Do you have a Equinox? If so, comment below and share your experience!IMG_6021
